welcome :)  Blazing Lazers is a great game. I happen to like KC as well.

I find just calling them HuCards seems to be appropriate for most. Interchangeable but I usually say HuCards meaning both

Thanks :)  Mr. Courage hooked me up with a System card 3.0. Yah he had me all set :)  I am starting to think that I will probably want something else soon.. cause I know that I will get frustrated probably with the Beast... but I just know that cause of the amiga days.  Any suggestions on a fun game on CD (basically that isn't at this point Arcade cause as you know I would need a card for that)?
Something that isn't too gouging to the wallet but still pretty darn fun.  I realize gouging is a relative term so .. I mean I won't have to give my right or left kidney lol

thanks for the welcome Necromancer

P.S: I see that Arcade Card Pros can be gouging too lol

Hello everyone,  I should have sat down and did this a while ago. I have been looking through this forum for some time. Been a member for a slightly shorter time. I have in fact put some posts up before doing this.. and saw that sometimes introductions are given so here we go.

Bonoedgey, from Canada. I consider myself a pretty avid collector. Until recently I had yet to dive into the TG-16/PCE scene. I was aware of it as I had played it a few odd times here and there. I had mainly 2 hip friends  that had TG-16s. One mate had a few games that I played, the other had only 1 game and never played the system much. (*note to esteban* it was dungeon explorer, thank you for your suggestions to compare).

When I think of it I should have just had my one friend sell me his TG-16 since he didn't use it much.  I was able to get an understanding better with my other friend. He had some other games like China Warrior, JJ and Jeff, imagine Keith Courage, and a few I can't think of at the moment. I mainly played JJ and Jeff at that time. (I am having a hard time cause faint past memories of playing his system back in around '90-91. Time to make my new memories anyways  :)  )

I recently managed to get a in my opinion "steal of a deal".  I got a TG-16 (with KC). Multitap, PCE (white), multitap too, few controllers for PCE (including Ave 6 6-button), Rtype 1, SF2, and Kato Chan & Ken Chan (yah!!).

I have been reading lots here and there on this forum. I make comments once in a while but pretty darn new so far. I did pleasantly see that some like Tatsujin which is great. I actually think I heard of one of the forum members here before I heard of the forum.  He doesn't really probably need an intro but I will anyways cause he was recently very nice to me and I am grateful.. I heard of Keith Courage and how he can work his magic on the system.  Well I recently bought a CD-Rom2 with the briefcase to go with my white PCE from KC.  It just arrived yesterday and I am excited to try it out. I have to wait though as my first Super-CD should be coming fairly soon.. Its Shadow of the Beast. I am excited... so Mr. Courage.. thank you once again. I truly appreciate it.

I am looking at this forum's various threads and I must confess bit overwhelmed but that is just because I am rather new to the whole TG-16 PCE  scene.  I know that everyone has their own favs when comes to games and that is natural.  I have picked some of my games based on my limited experience with the hardware. Growing up a nintendo/sega guy , then sony/microsoft.. I kinda just went and thought the time was right.  I know to some Shadow of the Beast will not make the radar... lol I got it cause it was cheap, and I remember playing on the Amiga.

Well I blabbed all too much already.. I would like to thank everyone that I have been in very limited (at this point) contact with. I look forward to contributing more to this forum. Thanks for listening or having a read of my intro..

Thanks everyone  :)

I got this last night in the mail. From KC (thanks again  :) )  Now I just need to wait for my shadow of the beast to come (got it very decent price. Played it back in the day on Amiga).

thanks everyone for your replies.  Speaking of great tunes totally another topic in itself but was listening to the Ys Chronicles Soundtrack.. pretty sweet lol.. I know off topic, my bad   Thanks again everyone for your insight.  It is pretty darn hard when I played it on the MegaDrive. Never have played Truxton (as we say around me) for the PCE. Maybe if I want more grey hair and such I will have to try it out lol

Hello there everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone still plays Tatsujin on their PCE.  I have it for the Sega Genesis/MD and enjoyed the music. I watched some Youtube vids on the PCE version and it seems to have the music on its side compared to the Genesis/MD, but could just be me.

Thoughts about this game?  Its ok if this is the smallest topic.. and only get "It's Ok".  I was just wondering what the general thinks of this game.
I see its very expensive usually.

thanks for your thoughts in advance gang

looking forward to playing this game some day.. *sigh* hear its pretty darn awesome lol

Quote from: esteban on 08/03/2014, 08:16 AMA. There aren't too many games for TG-16, if it wasn't DE, Neutopia was probably it.

B. You have plenty of time to catch-up on missed awesomeness from TG-16.

C. China Warrior = JJ & Jeff = FUN.
LOL  thanks my friend. I will look up the Neutopia. Just to doublecheck.. I have faint memories of what it looked like.. and maybe that will refresh.
thanks for sharing my sentiment with China Warrior and JJ & Jeff.. lol it was a good vibe back then and happy to say they still are fun to me as well.

I am hoping to be able to get some more games pretty soon so I can start relating to the gang here a bit.  I just am going for the most part approx 20yrs or so.. kinda rusty. I do know that I am liking the power of the system. Some games its crazy to think when it came out and what the rest were like (SF2 is pretty nice for what its worth being with the SNES and Genesis in my opinion.. not meant to start a debate just saying its pretty decent)

thanks again, if you have any suggestions of what is good out there I am definitely all ears :)

I just recently bought a TG-16. I actually managed to get it with a white PCE thrown in. It didn't have many games.. It had Keith Courage and for the PCE had R-type pt1. Growing up I was mostly a nintendo boy. I had those various systems. In junior high (Gr 7) I was exposed to the TG-16 from two different friends (town of around only 500 people so the average was good considering). The one friend had JJ and Jeff, China Warrior, and a few others that I don't really recall.  It was at a b-day party I saw those games.. I played them and thought at the time they were pretty darn cool (lol in regards to china warrior.. I was young.. and liked the big graphics. JJ and Jeff not sure what I was going for but it was intriguing for me)  I think I liked them cause they were very different.. I was fascinated with the cards for games.  (I actually got Kato Chan & Ken Chan shortly after my PCE/TG-16 purchase just because I knew it was JJ and Jeff with variation.. probably nostalgic and the fact it came with SFII.)

My other friend he only had 1 game with his system he didn't play it much at all.. and sadly I don't remember what game it was :(  I remember I liked it from what I remember him playing.. It was a hucard and it looked to be a RPG.. but after that I couldn't tell you much. I know I was very intrigued by it though. I have since went and tried to refresh my memory on videogameden.com.. I believe it may be dungeon explorer.

I know now that china warrior and JJ and Jeff probably don't do it for most and there definitely is way more awesome sauce out there .. but those being different than what I was use to being a Nintendo guy.. are my earliest memories.. I also did like the hucard and the look of the system.. sadly I am now just getting to it after having many other systems between then and now.

I hear very good things about this game. Not really one negative come to think of it.  I will most definitely have to try it sometime.

I have been waiting to see this video since I first found pcengine-fx.com site... and waited til I joined the forum today.  Great job, really enjoyed it.

fellow canuck here too just starting out with the TG16 and with this forum. I really am just a newbie when it comes to getting into the TG16/PCE.  I have so far only one TG16 game which is not shocking Keith Courage (I know I know don't laugh).  Well anyways sorry for barging in on your topic. I just wanted to say hello to another fellow canuck starting off. I am going to have to try to start going with this wonderful system's catalog as well

From SK btw.

Take care
